to theatrical experience.

The book was calling for that, the landscape, and it was just an director's cut, brought to you by the Directors Guild of America.

Today's episode takes us behind the scenes of director Denisville's new sci-fi drama, Dune.

An adaptation of Frank Herbert's groundbreaking science fiction novel,

the film follows the son of a noble family,

who is entrusted with the protection of the most valuable asset and vital element in the galaxy.

In addition to Dune,

Mr. Villeneuve's filmography includes the feature

films Blade Runner 2049, Sicario, Enemy, Prisoners, and Mailstrom. He was nominated for the

DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement and Feature Film for his 2016 feature

arrival.

Following a recent screening of the film at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles, Mr. Villeneuve spoke with fellow director Christopher Nolan about filming Dune.
