Summary

Every one of us has a family tree. We may or may not love every branch, some may be more complicated than we care to admit, but as we walk through life the limbs of our tree can determine a lot about us.

0:20.0	So in these weeks, we're talking about how all of us long for our Father's blessing.
0:27.0	We want to know that our Father sees us, values us. We want to know we have our Father's affection, participation.
0:35.0	We want to know that our Father believes in us.
0:41.0	And I think more than ever in this generation, there is a longing to know where did I come from, who am I?
0:48.0	And does my life matter? And a lot of it is linked to our families.
0:55.0	In fact, right now, one of the biggest things going is people sending away their spit, if you will.
1:03.0	You get a kit in the mail, you put a blob of spit in the container, and you mail it off.
1:09.0	And in a few weeks you get the results and your email letting you know where you came from.
1:16.0	Now, I don't have my results back yet, but when they come back, they better say there's some Sicilian and some Greek in my world.
1:23.0	Because I've been carrying Gio step down to Gaglio all of my life.
1:30.0	And if I don't have some Sicilian and some Greek in the mix, I might as well have had Johnson from the beginning,
1:36.0	and I wouldn't have had to spell my name for people a thousand times in my lifetime.
1:42.0	We want to know where did we come from. And so when you get your results back, and I can't wait to find out what mine say,
1:50.0	some of the results are surprising. Some of my friends have done it, some of our family members have done it, and they're like, yeah, there was what we expected.
1:56.0	We're sort of an Eastern European outfit here, or what we expected. We got a lot of Middle Eastern in our DNA.
2:05.0	But there's always a wild card for everybody. I didn't know. I had a little bit of that.
2:09.0	And it seems like all of us have one percent of unknown in the mix. I'm talking going way, way, way back.
2:18.0	We want to know where did I come from. What are my roots and what is my origin?
2:28.0	We're talking about our family tree. The message today is called the tale of two trees.
