Put bluntly, too many of us spend years, even decades in pursuit of someone else's plan

for this one precious life, for our life.

We're trapped by limiting beliefs, by the well-trod paths of others, by all of our cultures

shoulds, right? But here's a thing. of our cultures shoulds, right?

But here's a thing.

This trap is an illusion, right?

The world would have you believe that a creative practice or that dream that you have is an indulgence.

It's an impractical waste of resources that are better invested in something else.

Only, you know what?

No one can tell you what that other thing is because it's

not more worthy than the goals that you have. Whatever the thing is, watching the stock market,

performing science experiments, everyone else has got an idea of what's more worthy. But it's never

clear what we're supposed to do besides doing the thing

that we were put on this planet to do. What's only clear in those external messages is that

pursuing creativity, pursuing your dreams, pursuing this vision that you have for your one precious

life is too lofty, too selfish, or maybe even too naive. But the truth is actually the opposite.

Creativity, the ability to live your dreams, that is your birthright.

Establishing a creative practice, therefore, is the foundation of whatever it is you seek.

It's a generous, this creativity is a generous, life-changing and mind-altering, and it's practical as hell right in fact it's only by creating

in small ways every day that we can come to understand that we can create big changes in our
