Hey guys welcome back to Stry Anarki, this is your host Ekta and I am very excited about our episode today because we will be interviewing the founder and president of a hair care line that I'm truly a fan of and I think that you know we can never know enough about hair care especially in our industry now that that's how I see it at least I always

have questions you know every time I interview a hair care brand about you know just things that we look you know, every time I interview a hair care brand about, you know, just things that we

encounter day to day, whether it's because of changes in the weather or whatnot.

So without further ado, I want to introduce you guys to the founder and president of Rev of reverie hair care Garrett Markinson and Hillary

Markinson welcome the show guys I'm so excited to be hosting you.

Hey everyone my pleasure to be here.

It's a pleasure to host both of you and I'm a huge fan of the line. I think it's a great, great

brand. Garrett, I'd love to get started you, if you could tell us a little bit about where the vision came from, you know, for reverie, because I know you have quite an impressive background in, you know, the hair world and everything if you get us started.

Sure, I'd love to.

You know, currently I've done hair in Los Angeles for just over 20 years.

My journey in hair started while studying abroad in Florence, Italy for fine arts degree and an experience that led me to the salon really just shape and kind of transcended my, you know, perspective on this culture, you know, my upbringing was going to a

salon where you did not book an appointment. You just kind of sat there and waited your turn. I was never really satisfied with the product so you know getting my hair cut

wasn't really something that I imagined could turn into a career. So I came back after that experience and started to do hair with a huge, I would just say a pleasure for wine and really enjoy going to the wineries in California and other places and hearing this story and really just dialing in and articulating to what I was experiencing, what I thought I was tasting.

I think it was just something that I'm sure a lot of people listening can relate to.

You know, wine is just such a beautiful thing.

Yeah, it's a lot more fun when your belly up at the wine bar getting a, you know, a song and dance from the person pouring.

An experience led me back to Italy and I went wine tasting there, you know, I'm very excited asking a ton of questions and the person pouring I could tell they were very impatient kind of almost just

uninterested, maybe even frustrated with how excited I was.

And the guy told me, he said, you know, why are you so

interested in what you're tasting?

It's grapes, you know, are you so interested in what you're tasting it's grapes you
