But let's focus on the secondary here is it feels like we spend a lot of time talking defense.

And Trayvon Diggs didn't start Sunday. Missed the first two series of the game, I believe it was.

Still played quite a bit. He did. He made an impact. And I guess you could say there was a fire lit under his ass to perform. He was actually better in run support than he typically is. So when you get, I guess, benched is the right word.

You take things a little more seriously.

And I'm glad because Calvin, who is our ranch reporter, Calvin Watkins, laid it out pretty

clear in the morning news.

I think this article dropped yesterday.

That guy is one of the highest paid corners in the league.

And he has been one of the worst corners in the league.

And I know Duran Bland has dealt with injury, but he just got extended to a very lucrative

deal.

I think the seventh highest paid corner in the NFL.

And he's even a far cry from what he was just a few years ago when he had, what,

11 interceptions and five of those were returned for touchdowns, which set a record.

So look, I understand that all these guys are dealing with Iber Fluss's system,

and they are not nearly as good in zone as they are in man.

But when you make an investment like that, you would expect a little bit of diversity

and versatility with your corners who, I'm guessing, played zone at some point

coming up through high school and college.

And I think with Diggs, I think some of it is the injury. He certainly doesn't look close to 100% yet.

And I mean, through his career, even when they were a man heavy team, he hasn't been, he's been more of a reactionary corner when the ball's in the air.
