though they're so meticulously planned and executed,

they can take weeks, months,

or even years of detective work to solve and make an arrest.

And as we know, some cases are left unresolved,

leaving family members desperate for answers.

Then there are cases of such criminal stupidity and lack of forethought

that the perpetrator is quickly identified and arrested.

This, I would suggest, is one such case,
