I just am still struggling with this nasty thing that latched on to me about two and a half weeks ago you could probably hear

it my voice but I have heard from others in town when I'm going to pick up my

local pizza or whatever yeah this is a nasty one, gets into your head, gets into your lungs, and it doesn't

get out fast.

So my apologies for the excessive baritone or something or maybe it's nasal

nasality of my voice today but that's the reason that's the reason why I

just got back from Alaska.

My son is up there.

He's actually in Fairbanks,

but I was teaching in Anchorage.

And he actually had occasion to come down for professional reasons so he picked me up at the

airport and that was great to be with Dane.

But I gave a talk there that I haven't given in actually quite a while.

In fact, I'm looking at my notes and I sometimes will sketch out some more up-to-date

introductory material that goes on top of my notes proper of the material and I realize I'm

talking about here my daughter's being nine and six years old and I'm the ancient 64

you know almost you know almost retirement age or whatever

of course that doesn't really factor into my thinking almost retirement age or whatever.
