Summary

From the outside, the circle of success looks glamorous and there's not one person who wouldn't want to be part of it given the chance.

So what does a true succss circle look like?

In the beginning, everyone is scanning to see people win.

When someone in your circle wins, you cheer them on!

"Yes, one of us made it!"

But then, over time, the very same people who were cheering you on are looking for reasons to source or celebrate your downfall.

It's human nature.

We love a good comeback story, but in order for that to happen, there has to be a rise and fall of our heroes.

Take Robert Downey Jr. for example or President Donald Trump.

Each one of them have very unique circle of success stories.

In this episode, Ryan maps out the construct of what it means to make it into a success circle and the vicious cycle of its existence.

The success circle, you may be super familiar with it once I explain it to you, but I guess the greatest example of the success circle is Donald Trump. Like the guy or not,

0:39.8

I'm going to use him as an example because I can't think of a better example. So here's how the

success circle works. When you first start seeing success, everybody cheers you on. Yeah, one of us made it.

0:51.4

Yeah. Our dude made it. Yeah. And then when you start seeing too much success,

0:57.8

the same people that lifted you up look for a reason to push your downfall. And oftentimes it

1:03.5

becomes the downfall of that person. They become successful and their friends and family and the

1:09.5

public. They start to hate on them because not because of what they're doing to get success.

1:14.5

And not because of how they gain success because of the simple fact that they have a success that the haters don't feel like they'll ever have.

And so we watch these celebrities.

1:26.8

We'll use celebrities as an example. We watch them have these

meteoric rises. And then all of a sudden the public hates them and they fall apart. And then they

come back again and the public loves them even more the second time they come back than they did the first time.

Let me give you some examples of this over the years.
