podcast from the St Paul Center. Today I'm going to hand it over to you Rob and have you introduce the subject of our conversation on this episode.

Yeah, we talked about tackling this problem that I think a lot of people struggle with is what is the difference

between Catholic evangelization and Protestant evangelism.

And a lot of Catholics don't understand that distinction themselves.

You'll hear a lot of people want to use the Roman road

or the forced spiritual laws to lead someone to Christ

and then say, but Catholicism is the full version,

not just the demo version of Christianity.

So it's like get, you know, make a profession of faith

and then here's some add-ons.

You also get the Eucharist and Mary and the church.

But I would say it's really different in its methods.

It's different in its goal.

It includes a lot of the same things,

but we're evangelizing toward a different goal and and then I would

add one more the new evangelization makes no sense from a Protestant perspective.

Why would you evangelize Christians?

And yet the Catholic faith maintains that that evangelization is not a one and done

thing that happened in the past and now you turn around as a new convert and

evangelize other people but something that has to be
