darkest and one of the most unusual crime sprees to ever have occurred in my

city, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

For a period of weeks in May of 2007, it appeared a serial killer may have been targeting

our city's gay community. But in the end, it turned out to be

something altogether different. To put it bluntly, the killer thought he was destroying

vampires.

So yeah, this story is as unusual as it is tragic.
