0:30.0	It's called The Story of Brave William Tell, the man who faced a tyrant.
0:38.3	There walked one fair day across the market square in Aldorf,
0:42.2	as fine a looking man as one could wish to see.
0:46.1	Tall and straight, broad and shapely, with ruddy, bearded face, and proudly held head.
0:52.2	This man of the mountain strode with clean swinging stride
0:55.8	across the square with a look of bright happiness in his eyes and a cheerful word
1:00.7	of greeting for his friends. Many turned to say, there goes William Tell,
1:07.0	the crossbow man of Burgland. This man who was said to be the finest crossbow man in Switzerland and the best handler of a boat on the storm swept lake of Yuri
1:18.3	lived quietly in a mountain cottage with a wife who shared every thought of his heart and children for whom it was his delight to work.
1:26.0	He hunted deer in the mountains and went fishing on the lake.
1:30.0	His children never lacked good food and clothing. His home was trim and neat.
1:36.0	There was no family in that district more firmly established in peace and contentment.
1:42.0	Tell had sold a pack of deer skins which he had brought with him to Altorf.
1:48.0	He was on his way now to buy winter clothing of warm wool for his children.
1:52.0	He had money, enough in despair, and he was in a mood of
1:56.0	great happiness. In an hour and more, he would be singing a song on the road to his mountain
2:01.4	home. Suddenly, though though he felt his arm seized and found
2:06.2	himself in the grip of an Austrian soldier. In another instant he was
2:10.7	surrounded. The soldier who had seized his arm pointed to a pole with a
2:15.1	ducal cap on the top. It is death at the bow to that cap and you know it, said the
2:21.7	soldier.
