We will continue on our journey regarding the story of our father Adam alaihi sallam.

In our last lesson, I had mentioned the story of Hawa our Mother and the controversy is

over her role in the expulsion. Today inshallah will move on and talk about a number of specific

questions regarding the expulsion of our father Adam and mother Hawwa from Jannah.

And the first question that we have for today is, how long were they in Jannah? How long

was our father and mother in Jannah? We know that Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala created them

outside of Jannah and this is the majority position and I went over that controversy

in a previous lecture. Some scholars did say that he was created inside Jannah. We also

went over the controversy of which Jannah was he in. All of this has been done, the

conclusion that we have reached in these series and of course feel free to disagree is

that our father Adam Ali, his salam was created outside of Jannah in some celestial region

up there and then after creating his wife Hawwa, the two of them were then asked to enter

the actual Jannah, Jannah to Adam, the Jannah that we want to go to. So they were asked

to enter Jannah and we know that our father was created on the day of Jumu'ah and that

he was asked to enter paradise on the day of Jumu'ah and that he was expelled from paradise

on the day of Jumu'ah and that he came down to this earth on the day of Jumu'ah. We know

this from a number of traditions of our prophet Salallahu alayhi wa sallam. Of them is the

famous Hadith in Tirmidhi, the best day that the sun rises is Friday because on it Adam was

created and on it he was asked to live in Jannah and on it he came down to this earth and on it the
