Summary

What kind of world are we creating right now?

Jayson talks about the men in power and what they are modeling for our sons. He asks what happens when a culture loses its moral center. He makes the case that you cannot act like a jerk out there and expect peace at home. If you want change, start in your house. Start with how you show up.

I feel when I think of this subject, the state of the world, I feel both defeated, discouraged, disheartened,

Jesus or Gandhi or, well, Gandhi's a bad example because we know he made some pretty, he was pretty violent with his wife,

1:25.9

this, we're not interested in power over.

1:29.8

You know, if you're listening to me and you've listened to me for years, you're interested in

1:32.8

pro-relationship world, which just means we actually consider the impact of our behavior on other

1:39.2

people. We care about others. Of course, we judge people and we, you know, avoid people and we do all that.

1:50.0

And we act out sometimes and we make mistakes and we blame and we judge and we defend and we do all

1:55.5

the things. And I think it's not too much to ask to have a president running our country that is more morally sound.

2:10.6

In the last episode, I talked about moral development briefly.

2:16.1

And I was listening to something by David Brooks recently, and he talked about,
