Yesterday we found out some terrible news.

Our friend Rick Snyder, long time journalist here in Washington, really for four decades,

who came on the show regularly, passed away.

He suffered a massive stroke.

Think about a week ago.

Two weeks ago or so.

Yeah, we knew about it.

We just weren't allowed to talk about it.

Right.

Yeah, the family just wanted to keep it.

They wanted privacy.

They tried to work.

But you can understand, obviously. Yeah. But they were hopeful. Like, at first you hear you had a stroke. And then somebody said, yeah, but they think he might be okay. then you heard he's going to have a surgery and cross your fingers.

Then you heard, nah, it's not looking good.

Right.

And so it was just kind of a range of emotions forever. have a surgery and cross your fingers. Then you heard, nah, it's not looking good. Right.

And so it was just kind of a range of emotions for everybody kind of behind the scenes. And then

they decided yesterday to kind of go ahead and, uh, and close the deal, I guess. But what a,

what a, what a just a amazing guy who's been on a show for, it's got to be over 20 years, right?

Almost since the beginning.

Yeah.

And he's a guy that had such a range that, you know, hey, we need somebody to talk about the skins. Oh, we get Rick on. We need somebody to talk about the stadium. Get Rick on. Hey, can we get somebody for the preakness? Get Rick on. Like, he literally could do anything. Yeah. And then that's not even to mention all the tour guide stuff, all the historian stuff he did.
