Well, today, a mortification of Spin, we're going to introduce a new section for our bi-weekly bully pulpits.

Desperate Theologising, where one member of the team will highlight an article or something they've seen online that indicates just how desperate the evangelical world has become to offer crass theological insights in inverted commerce into

some aspect of our lives. Today, Amy, I think you have an article which we wanted to highlight.

Yeah, interestingly, Christianity today has been running this series on the sex we don't talk about on hermeneutics. And I've read

some of those articles and I'm beginning to think, you know, well, there's a reason why we don't

talk about these things publicly,

especially this latest article, how I learned to love my period.

Oh, please go on. I have no comments to make. I mean, there's this whole theology given in the article

how our periods aren't a direct result of like a curse on us after the fall and how we can learn to love them.

I wasn't convinced at the end at all.

But the strangest part of this article was, um, this quote right here,

I often thought of wearing a festive red dress when I have my period to celebrate this time,

that another cycle is over and that another is coming. I, I've never felt like wearing a red dress

festively to celebrate.

I mean, there's just a reason why.

There's a reason why we don't talk about this as publicly.

And I don't see the need to celebrate and theologize.
