Would you turn with me this evening to scriptures that we've been looking at for the past few weeks to Romans chapter 8?

Romans 8.

We're also going to be looking at 1 Corinthians 9.

We began a series a few weeks ago called the spiritual man, the spiritual man. We're continuing that

this evening. You know, you're not born spiritually, you're not born again, spiritually mature.

You're born a baby, a spiritual infant,

even if you're 60 years old when you got born again, physically you're 60, but inside you're

a newborn. And like 1st Peter says, as newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby.

And, you know, just because you've been saved for a long time doesn't mean that you have developed and matured automatically.

You don't mature just by reason of time.

There's a lot of people that were saved 20 years ago and they're still spiritual infants.

They're still spiritual babies. You have to be fed and I don't mean politics. I mean the word.

And I don't mean just men's ideas and opinions. You have to be fed to word.

I'll never forget when I first begin to get fed spiritually.

I grew up in church, but I was never fed substantially, all my growing up.

And I'm not pointing any fingers or calling any names.

The people, they were doing the

best they knew, but they were just telling things that they had heard other people say and

tradition and men's ideas. That won't feed your spirit. You can't grow on that. What will cause you

to grow? The Word.

Amen, the Bible.

And the Bible preached and rightly divided in words of faith.
