Summary
In 1900, there were just 34 sanatoriums in the U.S.—by 1925, there were over 500. Among them was the Cresson Sanatorium, tucked into the misty mountains of Pennsylvania. Originally built to fight the deadly spread of tuberculosis, it later housed the mentally ill... and eventually transformed into a state prison. But while the purpose of the building changed, one thing never did: people entered and never came out.
Today, Cresson is a chilling relic of its past lives, haunted by spirits from every dark chapter—patients, prisoners, and those forgotten by history. On this episode of The Grave Talks, we explore the paranormal echoes of this once-isolated institution with Lindsey Rogers, lead investigator for public overnight ghost hunts on the grounds of the Cresson Sanatorium and Prison.
