My name is Leanne. I'm camping at a lake in northern Alberta, Canada right now, and that's sort of

what inspired me to record this story because the story

that I'm going to tell you happened while I was camping just a little way south of here.

Anyway, so it was late in the season probably mid to late September a couple years ago.

My boyfriend and I went camping with a friend of mine and her boyfriend at a place called Elk Island National Park.

So we went there.

It was both of our first time being there. So I didn't really know what to expect, but it was a really nice place, and we set up our camp. And we don't

have any trailers. We camp in tents. It's real camping, as I would say. But anyway, so we have everything set up and the first

night goes, you know, pretty normal. Near our campsite was where the bathroom and the shower was.

So, you know, go there every once in a while. So I kind of got weird feelings in there.

Like I, I guess as a side note, I'm pretty sensitive, very empathic.

And I can, I don't always see things, but I see things in my mind's eye quite often.

So I, I'm in the bathroom and I just, I don't know,

I'm in there by myself and I feel just uneasy. Um, I don't feel alone. I know I'm alone,

but I don't feel alone. So something's going on. And I just, I spend as little time in there as possible.

You know, I'm in and out as fast as I can. The next day, Saturday, because it was a weekend

camping trip, I, uh, I went to the bathroom at night. It was dark and, uh, my boyfriend and I went, uh, went to the woodlot to get some more firewood.

And on the way back, I figured I would just stop in at the bathroom and, you know, at least that way, he was waiting outside.

I wouldn't be alone. And then I wouldn't have to make the trip later. So I go into the bathroom and, you know, I go into the stall and I sit down and I just,
