Hello my friends and welcome back. It is time for the morning mindset. If you are new

to the morning mindset I want to welcome you. My name is Carrie Green. I'm a

retired pastor and I'm now a Bible teacher online and doing

a lot of other business things. But the point of introducing myself is just to say hello

and to let you know we are so glad you're here.

This is a community of Christ followers, people who love Jesus Christ who are eagerly awaiting

his return. And in the meantime are working together alongside

the scripture to empower ourselves to live the life Jesus has given us and

I really think that's a bad way to say it. It's not that we're

empowering ourselves. It's that Jesus through his spirit is empowering us and that's what

we're going to look into today. And again if you're new to the morning mindset, we go verse by verse

through the scriptures typically. And we've been, we started back in Romans chapter

one. We're now in Romans chapter 8 and we're looking at verse 22. So let's look at it together

Romans 8 verses 26 and 27. Now the context is one in which the apostle Paul has just taught us that the creation all of

creation so microbiology all the way to universes have been groaning in eager expectation for God to reveal what Paul describes as the

sons of God. Now that means you and I, brothers and sisters in Christ who become fully redeemed at the end of this age

when Jesus returns and he calls us to himself and that full redemption means that

not only the redemption of our spirits which has already

happened through our faith in Christ but finally the redemption of these bodies

which are still saturated with sin and are really the only thing that's holding us back from living in full redemption.

And Paul says moving on that the suffering that comes about in this world because we still live in a human body and we still are in a fallen world is one day going to be changed.

But until then the power that we're given through Christ to look forward to that hope
