Turn to Proverbs 20, please, and 27.

He said, the spirit of man is the candle of the Lord searching all the inward parts of the belly.

The complete Jewish Bible says, the human spirit is the lamp of Adonai. It searches one's inmost being. The Young's

literal translation, and I'm a big fan of Dr. Young's work. I didn't say it, I thought it was

perfect. I mean all the works, I thought it was perfect.

I mean, all the works of man.

You know, the original inspired scriptures in the original languages, they are perfect, without mistake, without flaw.

But you cannot say that about all the translations.

These are works of men. So there are times you need to look up a word. And you got to watch, especially about some of the modern translations.

They're not really translations. They're paraphrase.

What do you mean by that?

They are not a word for word transliteration from the original.

They are the translators telling you what they thought the writer meant.

I don't know what you're telling me what you thought the writer meant. I don't know what you're telling me

what you thought the writer meant.

I got the Holy Spirit to tell me that.

You're with me or not?

No, you want to know what God said,

not what a group of men and women thought he meant.

And we are not to go to the scriptures to find support for our beliefs.

That means you already formed your beliefs.

Now you're trying to find Scripture to support them.
