Welcome to the Spawn Chunks, episode number 369 for Monday, September 29th, 2025.

0:13.2

This is a podcast all about Minecraft.

0:14.9

This podcast is probably going to be all about Minecraft live.

0:17.8

We go out on all podcast platforms, including a video version on YouTube and on Spotify.

0:22.2

If you're enjoying the show, consider subscribing wherever you're listening to this.

0:25.1

My name is Johnny. The internet knows me as pixel riffs. And joining me, as always, in fresh,

0:29.9

modern media. It's Joel Duggan. Hi, Joel.

0:33.2

And being involved in Minecraft media and steeped in media, we spent the render distance talking

0:38.8

about how we consume media, the streaming services we're using, the fact that we lament the lack

0:44.1

of physical discs sometimes when we want to watch our favorite films and they're on a streaming

0:48.0

service that we no longer subscribe to. If you want to hear more about that, then check out the

0:52.0

render distance. It's the extended version of the program.

1:00.2

You can get the spawn chunks on Patreon, and it is one of the many things that you get as a bonus there.

1:02.8

You can partake in the monthly Minecraft hangouts.

1:28.4

We just had one on September 27th before covering Minecraft live, and that is where we talk with our patrons about what they've been doing in Minecraft. Very similar to the login here on the show, but with you folks instead of with just Johnny and I talking about what we've been doing. The quarterly hangout is coming up in October. That's where we review the downloads, the numbers, the subscriptions, all that kind of stuff, as well as feature plans for the show. And speaking of plans for the show, something we talked about in the last quarterly, or at least a special Patreon hangout that we did, the Patreon feed is now syncing with Spotify.

1:33.7

So if you are a Patreon member and you are using Spotify to listen to the show on a regular

1:38.4

basis, you can now sign in to Patreon via Spotify and you can get access to the render distance, the hangouts, all those

1:47.2

things, rate in Spotify. So if you prefer Spotify as a platform, you now have access to that.

1:51.7

It's worth noting that it's a separate RSS feed. So if you're looking to listen to everything,

1:56.5

including the main version of the show, which is public, then you have to look for the

2:00.4

sponge chunks as a separate RSS feed and again, sign in with your Patreon account. If you have any issues, drop me a line in the Discord, and I will hopefully send you to the right help article. Or there's also another few other people that have done it already, and then you might be able to find some help there. But either way, we are syncing on Spotify. Yes, and we're going to sync up our thoughts about Minecraft Live in today's discussion. Minecraft Live September 2025 happened over the weekend, brought us a look at what's coming in the final drop for 2025. So that's definitely going to be the focus of this week's in news and discussion. But before all that, we've got to stay in the present and talk about what we've been up to in our Minecraft lives. So aside from covering that on the weekend, Joel, what you've been up to in Minecraft?

2:39.0

This week has just been a lot of planning. There's been the remainder of the lighting up of the Lush Cave. So it's all lit up. I'm not seeing any mob spawning in places that I don't particularly
