Since my last episode, five teams have secured a post-season birth.

This is a legitimate cause for celebration.

The kind of celebration I like. 1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 8.

that gets the opportunity to continue playing

when the regular season ends.

Last week, there was not a single team that had clinched a post-season birth.

Now there are five teams that have clinched mathematically. I believe three other

teams are essentially all but in, the Baltimore Orioles,

the Houston Astros, and the San Diego Padres. So that leaves four spots up for grabs and I think seven teams that still are in

contention for those four spots. In the American League right now the final two

wild card teams are the Detroit Tigers.

What a phenomenal two months they have had.

And the Kansas City Royals who have been struggling.
