Stewart. I remember the first girl I ever dated I was in junior high and a

city in lunch with my friends not interested in romance whatsoever and a buddy

of mine came over and put his hands on my shoulder and said to me hey Ben see

Kara over there you should go ask her to be your girlfriend and I said what

then you crossed my mind what do you even do with a girlfriend at 12 I'm not

interested in that he's like no man go go ask her to go with you that was the

confusing vernacular of the day and I said I don't want to do that I don't know

this girl we've never met I'm not doing it he was like come on man go talk to her

I said no I'm not going to and he was like well at least just go talk to her

begin a conversation and I said dude there's not even a seat open buyer leave me

alone and I thought that was the end of that conversation but he did have a

bit of a mysterious twinkle in his eyes left but I began to visit with my friends

and then suddenly I remember hearing from across the lunchroom hey Ben and I

look over and there's my buddy Joe there's a girl confusingly packing up her

belongings and leaving a seat next to this young girl and my friend is looking

at this open seat and doing this and next to him is this confused just

bow-eyed sweet girl Kara looking up blinking wondering what on earth is

happening and I look over and I'm like what is this guy doing how embarrassing

for him and yet as I think that suddenly from my lunchroom table I begin to
