So first let's do some follow up on the Kansas School Board situation.

Kansas, not for the first time, has been having hearings about specifically whether or not

to let intelligent design into science classrooms in Kansas.

You've all been following this?

Oh yes, absolutely.

One of the interesting aspects of this face off is that scientists decided to boycott

the meetings, figuring that the hearings were rigged against science to begin with, the

board members who were predisposed to intelligent design were going to have their minds changed

in any case.

And they essentially did not want to validate the hearings by giving testimony.

An interesting strategy, we have to see how that is going to work out.

Another interesting aspect of this is the fact that the Kansas School Board actually wants

to change the definition of science itself.

Pretty bold, extremely bold.
