podcast as always I'm your host Mike Milner and today's episode I'm going to

0:09.3

talk about something that I talk about all the time so this will be a bit of a refresh. Sometimes it's more important to be reminded than to be told.

0:18.0

But I'm going to talk about something that tends to get overlooked in the process of body composition improvements, better health, better fitness,

0:28.0

whatever your goals are.

0:30.0

We have this bias.

0:32.0

It's a cognitive bias that we all have as humans that we are blessed with and

0:37.6

sometimes that gets us in more trouble than we need to create and if we are aware of our biases we can catch ourselves in the act so that we can course correct

0:50.3

1:35.1

It may have taken you weeks to recover from that.

1:38.9

You may have gone into this spiral of why bother, why am I even trying, I'm just going to fail anyway, and after a couple

1:47.2

weeks you eventually recognize that that's not the case. And so you kind of pull your head out of your ass and you get yourself together.

1:56.5

All we're trying to do is reduce that time so that maybe this year when you have the same weekend where you overindulge and things go a little bit sideways,

2:09.4

you bounce back in a few days instead of a couple of weeks because you have more awareness around what's going on.

2:21.0

So that's all it is. The game is literally to catch those patterns quicker and course correct more quickly and that's

2:30.0

that's what we're trying to do here.
