Summary

When tech-savvy 12-year-old Jack agreed to disinfect a friend’s malware-riddled PC, he expected pop-ups, not a pitch-black figure gliding through the upstairs hallway. Soon the entire family began spotting the same silent shadow slipping between rooms and even—chillingly—standing at the bottom of their above-ground pool as bubbles rose around invisible legs. Years later, Jack thought the haunt was long forgotten… until a shortcut across a potato field brought him face-to-face with the entity again, watching from the garden before melting straight through a closed door. What—or who—still stalks that centuries-old Essex farmland?

0:32.3	I called in around this time last year, actually, about the quote-on-quote,

0:38.0	seemingly followed my my ex from her childhood so new story from my uh my ween years which was
0:46.9	about 5,000 years ago now um i was pretty much the the designated technical support from, for all everyone I knew since like age eight.
0:59.0	And there was this one time I was at a friend's house.
1:02.0	I would have been like 12 or 13 at the time.
1:06.0	And I'd been asked to fix his sister's computer in her room.
1:10.0	I'd been there to fix his sister's computer in her room.
1:17.7	I'd been there about 30 minutes, working way, way through the thousands of pieces of malware.
1:26.5	She had somehow downloaded mostly from those, you know, free smiley ads that used to scream at you when you loaded a web page, if you remember those.
1:33.4	Everyone else, my friend, my friend is mom, my mom, his sister were all sort of outside at the time.
1:39.0	And her room is kind of oddly placed, if you can imagine. It's kind of at the end of an upstairs corridor, a bit of a weird angle directly next to her door is my friend's
1:47.9	bedroom. So when you're in either room, you can't really see what's going on in the corridor
1:53.8	because the door itself mostly blocks your view. The spot where our computer was was like
2:00.2	the only place in the room where you really had a decent view with the corridor.
2:04.4	So I'm working away and out of the corner of my eyes, see someone turn from like climbing the stairs and start coming down the corridor.
