Hello and happy Halloween cinephiles. I am Steve Morris here with my partner, John

Roca. Here's Johnny. And this is something we just realized is that the

cinephiles has now been coming out for seven years. And that means that this

year we have recorded our seventh Halloween special, which of course is the

1931 Frankenstein. Well, seven is also the number of the days of the week. And

it suddenly occurred to me that we can put out a Halloween episode every day

leading up to Halloween. And the first one is our very first scary episode, which

John already hinted at. And that is Stanley Kubrick's The Shining. Yeah. We're

back at it again in the conversation. Oh, Steven, I just did room two, three, seven

as our watch along. And so for those of you who are patrons, hopefully you

enjoyed our conversation and our debate and back and forth conversation about

some of the theories and speculation that was in that movie. And so we thought, well,

let you know what? Steve kicked around the idea of us releasing these

Hollywood Halloween movies one day, one for every day. And I was like, well,

let's do some intros. And so we're doing that now. And look, the Shining is

one that is still, I think, a film that endures and people think about and

consider and go back to as one of these great horror films. It almost feels like

there's been a bit of a Kubrick assence. People have been talking about Stanley

Kubrick again on social media and in all these in letterbox and all these

other areas. I've seen the conversations about him pop up again in these

movies and a re-appreciation of what he brought as there's these battles out

here between like superhero movies and actual cinema, that whole argument.
