Summary

This week in the Share Shed, Vic opens the inbox to a story that starts like many nights used to… a few drinks with friends that quietly turns into an entire weekend you can’t quite explain.

Our anonymous listener describes being a full blown party animal in the late 90s, where alcohol often led to a cocktail of other substances and the kind of decisions that only make sense at the time. Let's just say this one involves chickens!

The Share Shed is where listeners send in their funniest, cringiest and most unbelievable drinking stories. It’s not about judgement, it’s about recognising how wild things could get when alcohol was in charge, and laughing about it now we’re on the other side.

If you’ve got a story you’d like to get off your chest, funny, awkward or slightly ridiculous, you can send it to Vic at:

Anonymous is absolutely fine. In fact - for legal reasons - probably preferable!!

So if you've ever worn a traffic cone on your head, had a weird one-night stand,

fallen asleep in a bush, puked in a bin, and yes, had the occasional running with the police,

or you just need to ask me a question about booze, then you're in the right place.

I believe nothing says growth like finally airing a bit of dirty laundry.

Let's evict those embarrassing memories once and for all.

Kettle on, share shed open, let's get a little bit awkward.

And I'm sorry, I'm going to apologise for the noise in the background.

1:21.6

It's a very rainy day and my husband has decided to do a bit of hoovering,

1:26.6

which he likes to do very occasionally,

1:29.3

and he does it in a sort of smug way where it makes me feel bad about my hoovering.

1:34.0

He even gets out that funny little nozzle that no one's used for 10 years so he can get

behind the microwave and down the side of the couches. It's very annoying, but I'm going to let him

get on with it. Never stop somebody hoovering.

That's my advice, even if they are doing it in a bit of a wanky way. Sorry, poor John. We love you,
