There is nothing worth living for unless it is worth dying for.

My grandmother lived a life devoted to Jesus, and today her talks have been made available

in their original form.

So you too can be built up through the insights and mysteries God revealed to her throughout

her ministry.

Since this is on the shaping of a Christian family, some of you may feel that it doesn't

apply to you.

Let's remember that as Christians, we are all members of a Christian family.

And the principles that apply of love and self-giving and sacrifice and giving way to others

preferences and all those things apply equally in the larger family as they do in any individual

Christian home.

So I would hope that you will be able to make applications as I talk about these things.

We are sisters in Christ.

We are mothers also.

Whether God has given us the privilege of being biologically mothers or not, I do believe

that because God has created us female, that we are meant to be mothers.

And all of us bear the physical characteristics of what it takes to be bearers and nurturers.

And we are reminded every month of the sacrifice.

I mean, that is, to me, this is one of the visible signs of an invisible reality.

Living in life speaks to me of the principles of the cross and sacrifice and self-giving

and my life for yours.
