a young couple became the victims of a man who, police believe, might have killed a handful of

individuals, a man who claims he was set up and is fighting to prove that innocence.

In October of 2002, a fisherman in Boone Lake, Tennessee was out casting a line when he saw

something strange floating in the water nearby.

Upon closer examination, this man was shocked to see what lay bobbing in the lake

was the severed head and hands of a male victim.

If this discovery wasn't strange enough, just a week later on October 11th, the decomposing bodies of a young man and a young woman were found in a storage unit in Johnson City, Tennessee.

Boxed up as if they were unneeded household items, along with the bodies was a hatchet, a large pair of scissors, a hammer, containers of gasoline, and diesel fuel.

The unit was, as police quickly found out, rented by the mother of a man named Howard Hawk Willis.

Howard, born March 17, 1951, just so happened to be the last person seen in the company of the now-missing 17-year-old Adam Ray Chrismer and his brand-new wife, 16-year-old Samantha Lemming, Chrismar, of Chickamauga, Georgia.

Believing that the bodies found in the storage unit belonged to the young couple,

the remains were sent to a pathologist who determined that both teenagers had their hands

tied behind their backs before being shot in the head and face.

Since he was the one seen traveling with the newlyweds just before their disappearance,

police connected Howard Willis to both the death and mutilation of Adam and Samantha,
