0:48.4	that we see all throughout scripture that he doesn't depend on anyone, anything else for his
0:56.8	existence for all that he has. Like he is totally independent. This is his revelation of himself
1:04.8	to Moses and Exodus chapter three. I am who I am. I always have been. I am now. I always will be
1:14.6	in a way that's totally different from us, right? We are not independent. We are dependent.
1:21.1	We came from God. If God did not create us, we would not be here. We are sustained by God. If God
1:27.5	didn't give us breath in a heartbeat right now, then we would not be here. We are totally dependent
1:34.6	on God. And in this sense, there's nothing we can give to God because God owns everything.
1:43.3	God is totally independent, self-existent, self-sufficient, and we are totally dependent. And that
1:52.7	is part of the point, isn't it? For us to realize, well, one that we are not equal with God,
2:01.2	that even in our wrestling and our struggling in the middle of suffering and all of our questions,
2:06.7	we're not on equal plane with God. I hope we've seen that as we've prayed through the book of
2:12.6	Job in so many different ways, but it's such a needed reminder, day in and day out for us,
2:19.9	as sinful people who are prone to take the place of God, who are prone to think as we've
2:28.0	prayed at different points that we know better than God or that we are just and we are right. And he
2:33.6	is not just or he is not righteous, that we are wise and he is not, that if we were in charge,
2:41.1	we would do things differently. That's the whole point. We're not in charge. He is. And that is
2:50.4	the greatest news in the world. Can I just be honest with you? I'm really grateful that you're not
2:57.0	in charge of the world. And I'm really grateful and I know you are really grateful that I'm not in
3:04.4	charge of the world. I'm really grateful and I trust we all are grateful that the one who is in
