Welcome back to daily breath. I'm De Park Chopra. We've been discussing the concept of the shadow.

The famous Swiss psychologist, Carl Jung, was the first to use the word the shadow as a clinical term.

But here I want to speak in general of the hidden places

where we are all ashamed or guilty of something,

where we repress things because we feel guilty or ashamed.

I will call this place the shadow and I believe there are certain true things to be said about it.

So here they are.

The shadow is personal and universal at the same time. Anything can be stored there. The great Roman commentator Terrence once said,

nothing human is foreign to me. Nothing human is foreign to me.

Nothing human is foreign to me.

So anything can be stored there.

Whatever is stored in darkness becomes distorted,

because you're not seeing it properly with clarity.

The intensity of these shadow energies is a way of getting noticed.

Bringing consciousness to any energy will diffuse it.

So once again, the intensity of the shadow energies

is a way of getting noticed.

So your tendency for evil behavior, what we call evil behavior,

your tendency for that will become obvious to you will

bring awareness to that energy you will diffuse it.

Just by bringing awareness, just by being aware of it, which is the highest intelligence because the
