Welcome back to daily breath. This is the Pacchopra as we continue our exploration into the self. Today I want to discuss the idea of incubating

evil or the conditions that release shadow energies.

This is important to understand when you become aware of what releases shadow energies you can more creatively

respond to when they surface in you and prevent you from doing something that is irresponsible.

So that's why I'm mentioning the conditions that release shadow energies.

So here they are.

Number one, removing a sense of responsibility.

When people do not feel a sense of responsibility,

or even if you remove it, you say you have executive privilege to do anything you want,

then the shadow comes out.

So that's number one. Anonymity, when you know that nobody's going to find out, the shadow will come out.

Dehumanizing environments like war or poverty or

even being in a prison will bring out the shadow.

Pure examples of bad behavior when people are doing things around you that are bad,

but everybody is looking the other way,

then that gives you permission also to be so-called bad.

Passive bystanders.

So when there is a crime being committed or somebody is being abused

and people just stand not interfering, that gives permission for evil and the

shadow to surface. Rigid levels of power, autocratic regimes, the shadow comes out collectively as evil.

Prevailing chaos and disorder in times of distress, collective distress, economic distress, lack of meaning and purpose in our life, implicit

permission to do harm and us versus them mentality, isolation as in solitary confinement, lack of accountability.
