Welcome back to daily breath. We're going to continue on the four paths to Enlightenment, self-awareness,

self-actualization, self-realization.

Today is the path of action which is both speech and action in the world doing as we call it.

Remember our four paths are in order of sequential unfoldment, being, feeling, thinking, and now speaking and now speaking and doing.

This final path is referred to in wisdom traditions as karma yoga.

Karma means action.

And so the path to enlightenment involving thinking is called yon yoga.

Gyan means knowledge, knowledge, wisdom.

The path to enlightenment through feeling is called Bhakti Yoga, love and devotion.

And Path to Enlightenment through Being is referred to as Raja Yoga, the Royal Path.

That's why it's called The royal, is the first and most important. And

action is the last, you'll be surprised, right, that the action is the last because most people act mindlessly they act

reactively they're reactive and these days we hear the word be proactive and not reactive and when you're proactive you're

creating your own reality so this involves both speech and action in speech the

yoga of speeches before you speak ask yourself is it useful is it kind is it going to be helpful is it going to be helpful

otherwise don't bother to speak I personally don't bother to speak.

I personally don't bother to speak if it's anything to do with gossip or mundane things or even

the ridiculous news that comes across as news but is not news anymore

in social media and newspapers and the various outlets, news outlets.

So I save a lot of energy by doing that.

Not engaging in speech that is banal, mundane, unnecessary and gossip.

That's the first rule on the yoga of speech.
