It's our inner self that graves, the end of suffering.

It's our inner self that craves meaning in life.

The end of suffering and answers to the riddles of love, death,

God, the soul, good and that which we call evil.

What is this in our self? This inner self is what spiritual traditions have frequently referred to as the soul.

What spiritual traditions have also referred to

as our innermost being prior to mind, prior to the experience of the body, prior to the experience of the world.

Today cognitive scientists are referring to this innermost self as a

conscious agent. It doesn't matter what we call it, but let's just call it our true self, beyond our ego identity.

What is the source of our thoughts? What is the source of our thoughts?

What is the source of our imagination?

What is the source of our emotions?

What is the source of our perceptual experience of the world?

What is the source of even the experience of the mind?

What is the source of sensations that we experience from moment to moment?

What is the source of hearing, seeing, tasting, smelling, sensing, all of that is our inner self.

Our inner self is the source of thought, of perceptions, of emotions, of feelings, of sensations, of imagination, of insight, of intuition, of creativity, of vision, of a higher calling and it's part of the hidden dimensions of our existence.

I say hidden because you can't see your inner self. You can't see it because it is the one that is seeing.

You can't feel it because it is the one that is feeling.

You can't touch it, taste it, smell it, or in any way experience it perceptually

because it is the source of perception itself.

It is invisible.
