I was excited that my completion of Dreamlanders' rewrite coincided with the arrival of

the warmer weather, since it meant I would be able to take my editing outside and enjoy the sun

and the fresh spring smells.

But what I didn't take into account was the fresh spring winds.

In Nebraska, spring means wind, lots of it. It's not unheard of for us to

get days of 40 miles per hour, or even stronger winds. This isn't fun, but it's not so bad either, unless you're sitting outside with a lap full of loose papers.

Needless to say, I've brought my editing back inside with feelings of mingled regret and relief.
