Hi my name is Lewis Howes and welcome to the Daily Motivation Show.

Everybody's not going to like you. And there's one moment where I felt like everybody was supposed to. I felt like everybody is supposed to like me. I'm a nice guy. I'm a lovable nice guy. Why wouldn't you like me?

What I found, I was like, look, everybody's not going to like you. And you can't change that. You can't control that. So it's my job to be happy with my attempt and what it is that I'm trying to do. That's my job. So you know as you're going to perform at said small environment I've realized that each one of those

opportunities was a way for me to work on me my craft and I'm supposed to take something out of that moment that's good.

Whether it's two laughs, whether it's 20, whether it's 100, I have to take something away from this experience and improve off of that.

If I go do these things and everything about these things are always bad,

but that means that I'm doing something wrong.

They can't always be bad.

There has to be something good that's coming out of it.

I'm not searching for it.

So I found a way to search for the good. I found a way to search for the

positive side of my experiences. And as I continue to do that, I developed a high level of shoulder shrug.

Everybody's story is different.

And what I find is that it takes time for everyone.

Even the easiest road is still met with some degrees of difficulty.

At somewhere, some point, you're going to go into some degree of difficulty.

There are no easy roads.

So when I was coming up and I'm not getting the auditions, I'm not getting the opportunities, I had to say to myself, it's going to come.

If I put the work in, it has no choice but to come.

Now, as I'm saying that and doing that,

I'm looking around.

There's certain comedians that were doing the same stuff
