richly bless you as you seek to serve him. In the past few decades, many a church have come to define praise and worship as merely and only as music and singing and in some places being entertained.

But this understanding is far, far from the biblical definition of praise and worship.

Please don't misunderstand me. Singing and praising God in a song, it's very powerful and is an essential part of worship. Somehow

the devil managed to get Christians sideways on this issue and the focus on the style

of singing rather than the substance of worship.

Focus on the form of music rather than the heart of worship.

And that is why today so many people think that if they have the right kind of music, they have worship.

Or if they have the right kind of praise band, they have worship. Please hear me right again. I am one of those people who are

immensely grateful for godly musicians and godly singers and godly song leaders. I am immensely

grateful to the Lord. But worship is far, far, far bigger and greater than just music and

singing. The word worship comes from the Latin word, which means worthship. Worship. Can you say that

with me? That's the origin of the word. And in Bible times, the worth of a coin is in its weight.

Its worth is in the weight of whatever it is, if it's gold or silver, you weigh it, and that's the value of the coin.

And that is why they talk about a coin when it is a mint condition. It's perfect in every way,

and they weigh it, and they tell you what the value is. But after the coin has been in circulations

and people using it and going from hand to hand to hand,

it loses some of its value.

Why?

Because it loses the content whether it's gold or silver.
