It is a pleasure to be reading to you tonight.

This evening we are continuing with the secret garden, but before we open our book, take some time here for yourself to breathe and relax.

The storm cleared and the sky was bluer than Mary had ever seen when she awoke two days later.

Martha was at the hearth as usual in high spirits as she was due to be heading the five miles home for her day off.

Ben Weatherstaff, the gardener, seemed cheerier in the sunshine and told Mary what to expect from the garden in spring.

Then the Robin joined them and Mary played and followed him all the way outside the walled garden.

freshly turned earth and a hole. In the hole was a brass ring and when Mary picked it up, she found it was a key.

Martha was permitted to stay overnight at home and returned the first thing in the morning with a surprise
