Hey, good morning. It's Patricia Murphy. It's Wednesday. This is Seattle now. You may have noticed your DoorDash order got even more expensive. Seattle City Council says it's working on it. A minimum wage

law for gig workers went into effect in January and this more business friendly council is already

reconsidering. Seattle Times City Hall reporter David Cromen is here to talk about it, but first,

let's get you caught up.

Seattle's Police Union has a tentative contract that includes raises of up to 23% for new officers. Publicola reports under the proposed deal, new officers would start at $103,000 a year and make $110,000 just six months later.

The increase is retroactive to three years ago.

The deal still needs approval from rank-and-file officers and the City Council.

Seattle City legislative staff may be back in the office nearly full-time if Council President

Sarah Nelson has her way. Nelson has mentioned in the past she thinks workers are more productive

in person and now she's making it official. In a memo Tuesday, Nelson said the goal is to have

workers back in the office four days a week, June 24th. That's the first Monday after Seattle Public

Schools lets out for the summer.

And voters in Kent, Enumclaw, Tahoma, and East Pierce County. Keep your eye out for your ballot

and voters guide. You're included in King County's special election later this month. Election
