If you find London on a map or Google Earth and look about 90 miles to the northeast up into the distinctive bump of East

Anglia, you'll see the County of Norfolk. For our U.S. listeners, imagine a place with a quiet,

rural isolation of upstate New York or the rolling historic farmland of the Berkshires in Massachusetts.

It is a place of narrow, winding roads, ancient churches, and local pubs that have been standing since the 1600s. And right on the border between Norfolk and Suffolk lies the tiny village of Skoll.

It isn't a bustling town, it's a village defined by a historic crossing of the

River Waveney. It's all just 15 minutes east of an archaeological site where they recently

uncovered evidence of Neanderthals using fire 400,000 years ago. That's proof that humanity has

been in this area at least that long.

In the heart of this village sits a 17th century property known as Street Farmhouse,

a home that was already settled and old before the Salem Witch Trials were even a thought in the colonies.

Street Farmhouse is a beautiful 17th century property that you

wouldn't think would be at the heart of tonight's legend. But if you had gone down into the

cellar in the early to mid-1990s, there, in a small space roughly 16 by 13 feet, you would

have found four people sitting around a circular table. They weren't just waiting

for a bump in the night. They were waiting for a signal. And a signal was what they got. A pinpoint

of blue light entered the pitch black room. It didn't move like a reflection or a stray beam. It moved with mechanical intent,

zipping across the barrel-vaulted ceiling, stopping on a dime, and then striking the wooden

table with a sharp physical crack that vibrated the very floorboards. That wasn't a one-off
