#320: What if there’s less standing between you and your dream life than you think? If you've ever caught yourself thinking "that's too big of a dream," this episode is going to completely shift how you see what's possible for your life.
Today I'm sitting down with Olivia Rose Thomas — manifestation coach, co-host of Inspired Delusions, and someone who went from being skeptical of the idea of manifesting to completely transforming her life through it. Olivia breaks down the neuroscience behind why getting your hopes up is the most powerful thing you can do, why your 95% subconscious mind might be sabotaging what you want, and how to rewire your brain to expect good things.
This isn't just woo-woo talk — Olivia connects quantum physics, nervous system regulation, and brain science to explain why manifestation actually works. She shares how she manifested her dream apartment the day after putting it on her vision board, why being audacious about your goals gives your brain more dopamine and motivation, and the exact tools that help you feel safe enough to dream bigger than you ever thought possible.

| 0:00.0 | The following podcast is a dear media production. |
| 0:11.8 | Thank you so much for tuning into this week's episode of She's So Lucky, the podcast, all about how we create our own luck. |
| 0:19.0 | And when I think about ways that I have created my own luck, |
| 0:21.8 | manifestation and learning how to manifest and being open to manifestation has been such a huge |
| 0:26.9 | part of that. We've done episodes about manifestation on the show over the years, but I realized |
| 0:31.0 | it's been a minute. So I actually invited one of my favorite manifestation creators, |
| 0:36.0 | Olivia Rose Thomas, to the show so that we can all |
| 0:38.9 | get our manifest on. Hello, Liz. I'm so honored to be here. I've been following you for so long. |
| 0:45.0 | So I feel like me coming on this podcast is a manifestation as well. I'm so happy to hear that. |
| 0:49.8 | Thank you so much. Welcome. Thank you so much. I love that you want to talk about all things manifesting. I love your rebrand, by the way, too. She's so lucky. I think that's such a beautiful encapsulation of this new era of like, hey, let's create our own luck. So I thought that it would be fun as kind of like an icebreaker to maybe start off talking about some things |
| 1:12.1 | that we've manifested. I'm curious if there was a time where you feel like you were consciously |
| 1:17.6 | manifesting for the first time and what that was. I had heard about the topic of manifesting in |
| 1:24.8 | like 2020. I think a lot of people started getting into it around then |
| 1:28.0 | when we're all stuck in our homes with nothing better to do than like scroll and learn and dive into new topics. And when I heard about it in 2020, I was like, that's absolutely not true. I saw the quote, you have the power to create your own reality. And I was like triggered by that. I was like, that's not true. We don't have any |
| 1:44.3 | power over creating our reality. Like, that's not true. We're kind of just in a path and that's, you know, you're in luck or you're not in luck, right? But I figured, you know, if that is true, I might as well test it out. That was right before I decided to move to New York. And so I was like, okay, I'm moving to New York. Let me try out this manifesting thing. Let me start getting really clear on things I want to manifest, |
| 2:07.4 | start creating these delusional goals. Started making a vision board and putting all these things down. |
| 2:12.2 | So many of those things ended up coming true. And so I was like, oh, okay, this cannot be a |
| 2:16.1 | coincidence. And I realized that the more I, you know, started being kind to myself, the more I started visualizing, the more I started doing the healing work, the easier it was to manifest. And then so many things started coming true, I started getting really serious about it and really going down the rabbit hole and starting to expand my mind even more. Some examples of things I manifested like moving to New York. I was like, okay, I want to live in, you know, a nice apartment with like two guys and two girls and do like a friend's situation. Ended up getting that exact situation. It was so fun. Ended up realizing I needed a little bit more space. And I was like, okay, living by myself would be so cool. |
| 2:51.6 | That's a little bit unrealistic, but I'm going to still put it on my vision board. And essentially, |
| 2:56.0 | literally the next day after I put on my vision board, one of my friends asked me to sublet her |
| 2:59.9 | apartment, this really nice high-rise studio apartment. And I was like, okay, this is getting |
| 3:05.8 | actually kind of crazy of how much you can manifest when you actually let yourself get your hopes up and let yourself expect good things. |
