If he is going to be gracious to me, what he has to give me is the right privilege and power to delight in him because he's the only all satisfying object for my heart.

But what happens when I delight in God that way is that God is magnified. And grace is very eager for God to be magnified.

There's something really freeing about realizing that God's grace isn't just about forgiving

sin.

It's about awakening joy.

Why do I think it's so important to put things in this order?

First, God's delight in who he is and what he does and then his delight in us and our responses. Why? That order. Well, we'll have to read the whole book.

Do you see the answer to that? But let me try to sum it up. We live in a man-centered culture,

and very, very few people have any categories in their minds,

even evangelicals for understanding and appreciating the God-centeredness of God.

That God is central in his own affections.
