I've got a confession.

I actually listened to Theresa May's speech on the train back to see my mum.

And after it had gone so disastrously wrong,

I went to pick up a higher car,

and the guy said to me,

what are you all making such a fuss about?

She didn't have a cough last week,

and she probably won't have a cough next week.

Does it really, really matter?

And that's what I want to talk about this week.

What are we all going on about?

What we're really going on about is whether Theresa May's cold has produced a nervous breakdown in the Tory party.

The woman who thinks it has is Ruth Davidson.

I would tell my party to get its house in order,

get together, knuckle down,

and make sure that our first commitment, our last commitment,

and our only commitment is to the country that we are incredibly lucky to serve,

and we should never forget that.

As well as talking to her about the great Tory plot,

I've been talking to her about whether she might one day be Prime Minister,

and what makes her the person she is.
