Here tonight is a special man, beloved by millions of Americans who just received a stage 4 Advanced Cancer Diagnosis.

This is not good news, but what is good news is that he is the greatest fighter and winner that you will ever meet.

Rush Limbaugh, thank you for your decades of tireless devotion to our country.

And Rush, in recognition of all that you have done for our nation, the millions of people a day that you speak to and that you inspire,

and all of the incredible work that you have done for charity, I am proud to announce tonight that you will be receiving our country's highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

And that was the most memorable moment, I think, for the millions and millions of Americans.

And that was the most memorable moment, I think, for the millions and millions of Rush listeners listening right now and watching last night.

Rush received, as the President rightly called it, the highest civilian honor in the gift of the United States government, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

You could hardly ask for a better named medal to be awarded to Rush.

I don't think you can actually hear it there, but as the first lady was pinning Rush had to sort of swivel around and then she stood behind him and detached.

The medal and then he swung back to her and adjusted it, you could hear one of the congressmen shout out in the middle of it, we love you Rush.

Rush was up in the gallery and the congressman yelled that I'm not sure which of our many fine representatives it was who actually yelled out we love you Rush.

I think I reckon I thought it was Ilan Omar, the voice sounded a bit familiar, it was either Ilan Omar Rashida to live or possibly AOC, I'm not sure, but definitely one of them.

I think it came from the handmade's tail corner of the room where they all dressed alike for some reason.

Anyway, we will break down all of a striking and for the Democrats, devastating state of the Union speech in the hours ahead on America's number one radio show, the Rush Limbo Show.

But that is the moment that we'll stick with Rush fans through the years.

There's all this talk about, oh, did he know he was going to get it? Did he not know he was going to get it? Rush looked stunned and his eyes rolled heavenwards at that point in the proceedings.

And if you people say, well, yeah, they knew he was going to get it because somebody mentioned it to him as he was entering the House of Representatives.

That means absolutely nothing. I think all Rush said was I'm odd. And one of the consequences of Rush's hearing problems in recent years is if you go up to Rush in a restaurant or any kind of crowded space where there's background, verbal and chitter chatter going on, Rush, as he always says, can't hear a word.
