Welcome to today's edition of the Rush Limbaugh Show podcast.

If ever there was a fiasco that cried out for Rush's take, it's this

cockamame Iowa corcus for which there are still no results. But as you heard yesterday,

Rush did two hours and 50 minutes of unique trenchant humorous commentary,

having more fun than any human being doing what he was born to do, vindicating all those catch

phrases and then some and then in the last 10 minutes the show took a dark turn that nobody

listening had expected. We're going to try and invert that today and address yesterday's appalling

news first and then get on to all the unimportant trivia like the mess the Democrats have made

of Iowa. A lot of people just from emails and things I talked about Rush's statement

with Tucker Carlson on television last night and a lot of emails and tweets and what not I got

said that they hadn't actually heard what Rush said in his own words. They had a good time listening

to the first couple of hours of the show and somehow managed to miss the last 10 minutes. And

I don't think anybody doesn't know the core headline from it because it was covered on radio and

television and on the internet. I think it was the number one trending thing across the planet.

And the president issued a supportive statement and so did Miss Tulsi Gabbard for the Democrats.

And I don't agree with Tulsi on a lot of things but she is a rare human being on that side of

the fence and I think Miss Gabbard for sincere and warm best wishes for Rush and Catherine and

everybody else. But in case you did miss the closing moments of yesterday's show I wanted you to hear

for yourself what Rush had to say. Here it is. Because I had to inform my staff earlier today.

I can't escape even though people are telling me it's not the way to look at it. I can't help but

feel that I'm letting everybody down with this. But the upshot is that I have been diagnosed

with advanced lung cancer. Diagnosis confirmed by two medical institutions back on January 20th.
