Welcome to our Rosary Meditation.

Let's begin in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

Amen.

Let's call to mind all those we've promised to pray for and let's hit pause and do a brief

examination of conscience. I would also like to ask you to include me and the hundred people I'll be taking to Jerusalem

this Thursday in your Rosary each day that you will carry us by your prayers.

And then when we are there, we will be praying for you

at each of the Holy Sites.

In this meditation today, I want to show you how in every age

Devotion to Mary and the Rosary have renewed the church and the world in time of crisis

Today the last thousand years, tomorrow, the 20th and 21st century.

In the year 1208, the church and society were being destroyed by a false teaching called Albigensianism.

At that time Mary appeared to St. Dominic, instructing him to go through villages and into homes to teach a truth of the Catholic faith and then

have the people pray in our Father 10 Hail Marys and a glory bee and to do this five times. With this method of the Rosary,

four powerful things began to happen.

People encounter Jesus, the one Savior, through Mary, because when we pray the Rosary the Holy Spirit and

Mary form Jesus in our souls and through this method they began to learn their faith because before each decade of

the Rosary a truth of the faith was presented upon which they could reflect during the span of time of the 10 Hill Marys.

And by this method they not only learned vocal prayer but were taught how to do Catholic meditation, preparing them for contemplation.

And this method of the Rosary, when done with others, became a powerful means of uniting

families, friends, villages, and countries with Jesus and with one another.
