Hi, everyone. This is your host, Kelly, from the Storytellers Live team. On each episode, you'll hear a different woman share her story of God's transforming love. These stories are recorded in a live setting at weekly local gatherings, where we're aiming to build community through sharing, connecting, and encouraging

one another. Most importantly, these stories reveal the faithfulness of God and how he can

take what's ordinary and broken and exchange it for extraordinary and redeemed. Katie, our

storyteller for today, shared her story at the local gathering in Bestavia, Alabama.

During her struggle with infertility, Katie became overwhelmed with the process, which was, in her

words, totally mind-consuming. As those of you who have been through it, know. For some women

conceiving a baby is effortless, but for others, it's an emotional roller coaster

that only gets more intense with hormones, countless doctor appointments, perfectly timed injections, and much more.

Katie began to question where God was in all of it.

She eventually did experience the joy of pregnancy and childbirth, but her discovery of God's

goodness wasn't in that answered prayer or her bundle of joy, but in his constant presence

during some of the hardest days she has faced in her life so far.

For anyone struggling with an unanswered prayer, this story will point you to true hope.

Just to look out here and see these amazing faces and so many people all mean so much to me and I'm just so appreciative that you're here.

You know, everybody has a story and I feel like I love storytellers and I've listened to every single one. I've come to so many. And every story that I listen to, I take something away from it. And some stories, I'm like, oh, I'm not going to get anything from that. And I've finished my walk and I'm like, well, thanks, Lord. You know, I mean, you never know what you're going to pick up from them. But everybody has a story and I didn't know if I was supposed to share mine. And when I met with Robin and we talked

about it and Sarah Beth was like, hey, girl, you're sharing it. I'm like, okay. Well, here we are. And let's do this. So I'm just going to kind of jump on in. I'm Katie Howell. And I grew up with a mom and a dad and my mom and dad met when my mom was 14.
