I think we really have to be careful that within our own hearts, we know that we're standing before the Lord and then God sees all things and then my motives are correct.

But when I do come into the house of the Lord, I'm coming into a place where we don't want to bring any attention to ourselves, that we want to give all the glory and all the attention to the Lord.

Paul is dealing with the issue of women in the church, and these are women that are married,

single women, and also widows that he's talking to.

And the first thing that Paul is talking to the women about, and will begin in about verse 8,

because that's literally where he starts with the men that they're

in fellowship with God in prayer.

Chapter 2, beginning with verse 8, I desire, therefore, that men pray everywhere, lifting up

holy hands without wrath and downing.

In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest dress and

moderation, and not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but which is proper

for a woman professing godliness with good works. Let a woman learn in silence with all submission and do not permit a woman
