And maybe there are some of you here this morning that are depressed or oppressed and you've been hitting the bottle or you've been taking drugs.

It's not good. Why? Because number one, you're going to ruin your life and you're grieving the Holy Spirit of God if you're truly a Christian.

As a real child of God, I can't get away with anything in my life.

Well, in today's study, we'll focus on godly motherhood. Pondering the biblical

characteristics of a virtuous woman, Roll will encourage you to keep your personal relationship

with the Lord at the center of all you do. As you walk in step with God, he'll help you

balance your many varied duties at home, at work, and in ministry. Here's Roll Rees in the book of

Proverbs. We're going to start in chapter 31, beginning with verses 1 through 31. And we're going to go

moving pretty quickly, but I want to bring up some highlights that are here

for each one of us to understand what the Bible teaches about becoming a virtuous mother in the

kingdom of God.

Beginning at chapter 31, verses 1 and 2.

The words of King Lamuel, the utterance which his mother taught him,

what my son, and what son of my womb, and what son of my vows? Notice that she is personally

directing herself to her son, King Lamuel. Secondly, what did she teach her son?

It starts with a negative action in chapter 31 verses 3 to 7. Because first of all, we see that she

tells her son, do not spend your strength on women

or on those who will ruin kings.

That's a good sound counsel to her son, which his father should have been telling them the same
